Session 4 : Unconventional props styling

It is not always ‘fashion’ that tells a story or makes an impact when we are creating content. Using ‘props’ can create drama, narrative or atmosphere to an image. So this session will explore non-fashion items and how items can be developed into ideas or concepts related to fashion. I chose a paper butterfly prop, a magazine and a photo frame as my props for the shoot. At first I didn’t have a clue and just took the prop and shot it, but I wasn’t particularly happy with how it came out. Then I decided to re-shoot and with the help of tutor I found out that post-editing is also very important and that a good post-editing job can even make an ordinary photo look completely different and surprising. So I want to learn how to edit photos better and understand some color filters apps and digital collage apps and mirror apps to present better photos when I do SDS later.
