Session 6 : External Trip Southbank

Today’s class is a trip to Southbank to capture fashion content using the landscape around us, we will explore everything from buildings, furniture, people, nature and more to create atmosphere and narrative for our fashion media content. As I was unfamiliar with the surroundings of Southbank, I searched for images in advance and I styled myself the night before for a location shoot, the area around Southbank is beautiful and there are many elements to photograph. My partner and I were a team of two and we shot each other. We walked around and shot the whole way, and we also went indoors. I also brought my CCD to help us out. I took a lot of photos, capturing the essence of modern moments from the shots and conveying emotions through the photos. Through this session, I learnt that simply pressing the shutter to thinking about the content is actually the first step to developing a personal style. Although I shot with my mate as a group, we were all very different from our dressing styles to our shooting styles and both had our own unique styles.
