Session 2 : Creating Looks

The task for this session is about styling and matching and will contribute to the content of the “Trends” page. We will be preparing and developing our fashion look preparation and idea development in today’s session. I had brought a pair of yellow slacks, a sleeveless top and a blue sheath. I joined a group of three other students to share the outfits we brought and to work on different looks. This was a class I hadn’t tried before, I found the process so enjoyable.

During the session we tried out fresh combinations of clothes and accessories we already had on different parts of our bodies. One of the most surprising parts for me was that all the members of our group had really great ideas, which made the matching fun and we all respected each other’s choices. After we had finished matching a look, we started taking pictures of the model, either individually like lookbook or by posing her according to her own ideas.

All in all, I think it is very important for members to work together and the team understanding between us I think made me feel very well connected and helped us to progress with our tasks in class. This was my first exposure to styling and I felt that I had a lot of fun with styling. I hope to learn more about color matching and browse more professional fashion websites to do better in this area of styling.
